JC Walker Brothers is a sixth-generation family business harvesting clams in the Atlantic Ocean waters of the Volgenau Coastal Reserve, along an undeveloped barrier island chain.
Founded in 1889 as a traditional fishing enterprise, today we combine generations of watermen’s experience with modern aquaculture practices that we pioneered in the early 80’s and have been perfecting ever since.
Centrally located on the East Coast, we ship fresh, graded, ocean-raised Little, Middle, and Top Neck clams year-round without any additives or outside sourcing.
Every clam we sell is spawned in our hatchery, grown for up to three years in pure ocean water, and packed under our Seaside Brand label.
For the past 40 years, our aquaculture operation has maintained the strictest standards and utilizes best management and harvesting practices to ensure quality, consistency, sustainability.

JC Walker Bros is committed to shipping quality clams 52 weeks a year and will provide outstanding clams in quantities specific to your company's needs. We only handle and sell our own Seaside brand clams and never purchase seed or clams from outside sources.

Down the Bay
We utilize best-in-class management practices and sustainable farming techniques to culture our clams. Due to our unique grow-out locations, we do not experience harvest closures. We continually advocate for clean water and methods.

Our Facilities
Our harvesting technique allows us to collect clams quickly and efficiently. Clams are out of the water and into our temperature controlled facility within one hour. Our crews grade clams accurately, allowing us to promptly prepare the clams for same-day shipping.
